Ms Marmite’s Kitchen

Kerstin Rodgers AKA Ms Marmite runs The Underground Restaurant, and she wrote Supper Club to share some of her wonderful recipes. She opens her house up once a year for a big celebration of food! She fills her garden with yummy street food stalls and opens up all of the rooms in her house. Her bedroom was a crochet party, her daughters room a cocktail bar and her beautiful garden room housed chocolate makers and homemade jewellery for the night. The decor of her house is worthy of a book on it’s own. it was stunning but too full of people to record it properly! I managed a few photos of her kitchen displays between chocolate making talks.

Bestival Skies

I went to Bestival on the Isle of Wight this year on that hot hot weekend in September! This meant lots of beautiful skies, shadows and sillhouettes! I’ve always loved the silhouette of crowds in front of the stage lights too. I was stewarding for Oxfam and our night shift gave us the chance to see the unbelievable sunrise.

Bolivian Colours

When I was 17, I went on an expedition to Bolivia. This included some treks through stunning scenery and helping a charity to build houses for families over there. Everywhere we went I was too distracted by the jewellery, fabric and ceramics that filled the shops and stalls! This wasn’t always popular when we were supposed to be food shopping! I did come back with some treasured souvenirs though. Here’s a few samples of some fabric I bought:
