Polly grew up on her family’s farm, near Alnwick in Northumberland. She completed an Art Foundation year at Newcastle College, and went on to study Printed Textiles in York. After travelling around the world, making jewellery in Newcastle and working for interior magazines in London, Polly moved back to the North East.
The Northumbrian coastline is Polly’s main inspiration, along with her travels through India, South-East Asia, Australia and South America. She usually uses acrylic, pencil or stitch. Polly enjoys painting and drawing a range of subjects, including beaches, buildings and people.
