I haven’t experimented for a while so I hunted out some used masking tape, wax, bleach, lots of paint and anything else I could find! The masking tape meant I naturally created striped patterns. Here’s a few examples of the red themed images I came up with.

Nothing is ever wasted by a Textile Designer! I’m such a hoarder (only of useful things, promise?!) Whenever I’m working, I usually make cards out of the tape I’ve used to mask paintings and stencils are usually as nice as the image they create!
I love the purples that ooze out of certain ink pens when their marks are drenched in water. This is a great technique for drawings, providing you don’t want to be too neat!
I was looking through some of my textiles sketchbooks while I was home. You know when you get sick of looking at work? Leave it for a while then have another peak. I love all my little experiments now. Here’s a few of them and there’s plenty more on their way!
