Wow. I can’t believe how soon Alnmouth Arts Festival is. There’s still so much to organise and so many paintings to do! Here’s a painting I finished today and it’s also where I’ll be based at the festival. If you’re around, please come and find me at The Ferryman’s Hut!

Beach Adventures
The Northumberland coast is so so gorgeous and I can’t go home without visiting a beach. I definitely have my favourites; Seaton Point, High Newton, Bamburgh. Last time I was back I decided to go to one I’ve never actually been to, despite only living a few miles from it my whole life. I wasn’t disappointed. Warkworth Beach is another huge expanse of unspoilt coastline to add to my list of must see beaches. I also couldn’t resist snapping a vibrant oil seed rape field on the way home!
Northumberland (AKA Middle Earth)
I’ve just been home for a beautiful wedding by the sea in Northumberland. Whenever I’m home, I can’t resist taking a drive into the hills. One of my favourite views has also been used for ‘The Hobbit’ poster. It’s just stunning and definitely a strong competitor for New Zealand! (When you catch it on a rare sunny day :-))
Castles and Beaches
I’ve been madly painting for The Alnmouth Arts Festival in June. If you’re around, please come and see more of my work! Here’s a sneaky peak to tempt you….
