Lomography fun

Have you ever used a lomography film in a standard film camera? I love the surprises it creates! The image is flipped back to front and the palette is full of warm colours, similar to dusk lighting. I took a few snaps over quite a few months and here’s a selection of my favourites. Which is yours?

Brick vs Paint

I love the contrast of a painted surface against natural building materials. Painted shutters, door frames or just painted furniture with a gorgeous wall as a backdrop. Even very different styles of building materials next to each other can make patterns on buildings. Painted brick has a lovely texture and is a great way to bring a block of colour outside. When I have a house I’m sure I’ll paint every wall in the garden! These all catch my eye round London Bridge and I finally had my camera on me when I took my regular walk along the river, to take a few snaps of the images I see most days.

Queen’s Jubilee

I hope you all enjoyed the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations as much as I did. I love how it made London such a friendly place and everyone joined in. Red, white and blue everywhere! Unfortunately I didn’t have a ticket to the concert but I was on The Mall the next morning, ready to see the procession of the carriages! I was there so early, The Queen passed me in her car as she left for the service. I waited for the carriages to come past along with all of the horses, musicians and military. I obviously took a few photos! My favourite is the policemen at the end.

There she is! I wasn’t even looking through my camera at this point. Too exciting!
